Jin-woo who is an impulsive high school boy with low GPAs meets Seon-ah, the beautiful and elegant girl in his class. Though they are very distinct from each other, they become friends initially due to the curiosity of two young souls but then graduate to a much deeper friendship. This love story reveals all popular difficulties of high schoolers, as well as distant relationships and coming-of-age throughout their lives. This film fits the high school coming-of-age genre because this movie centers on friends, and love, and issues of growing up, rejecting high-school high idealism, holding on to a one-sided love interest or affection for somebody. The comic approach turns into a dramatic one with a hint of reminiscence and such mechanism makes the viewers experience a wide range of emotions. It is a blend of Comedy, Drama and Romance and humor is used to capture the juvenile cringe.

Both Jung Jinyoung and Kim Da-Hyun were great actors. Jinyoung captures youth’s loud mouth and hidden emotion in a rebellious rebellious character, while Da-Hyun embodies Seon-A who is both elegant and fragile. The chemistry of the lead characters adds substance to the romance aspect of their story that makes the viewers follow their process of falling in love and finding oneself.

This play portrays both comedic and dramatic elements superbly by the director Cho Young-Myoung and thus makes the play interesting to watch. His direction pays a credible treatment to teenage lives, the tragic themes of love and friendship are portrayed with great sensitivity.

The musical number excels in giving right kind of vibrations to this youthful drama which has a tragic element to it. The music applied in sexuality is modern and classic, which helps in the progression of the story and development of characters’ feelings. The mise en scène continues and enhances the featured feelings.

Finally, it is worth highlighting the details of the setting and the characters’ environment, as well as technically perfect stunts to create the atmosphere of a real large high school and the opposite private, intimate territories of the high schoolers. This aspect of the movie is also intelligently done and complements the storyline.

As we already noted, the movie features little of spectacular in its post-production and concentrates on character development and emotions. Due to the relative sparingness of the effects, the story is more realistic and the audience can easily engage with it.

Another point is the steadiness of the pace which does not interfere with the emotional scenes yet does not let one feel bored. Transitions between comedy and drama are fluid in order to emphasize the movie’s themes.

The pace of the narrative is accurately capturing the spirit of teenagers’ life as full of energy and, sometimes, unpredictable turns. While some scenes are used to create taking deeper connections some are full of vigour of comedy so that the movie does not become boring at any point of time.

The language used in the script is colloquial and the humor adopted is teenage humor. It captures the cringe and the desire of youth, the source of both comedy and dramas. The dialogue used in the movie is impressive due to the realistic nature of the movie. Sometimes the movies isall914 somewhat slow, some scenes taking longer than necessary. However, some character development patterns should be explored more for a better result. These minor problems do not, however, heavily impede the film.

You Are the Apple of My Eye is an amusing comedy-drama drama that will strike a chord in anyone who has a story of puppy love. It provides rather sentimental story telling to thegame which depicts the characters and the social settings with great realism. Overall, this movie is a beautifully initiated coming-of-age film worth watching by the teen romances and drama lovers.
