The primary storyline is based on a character named Barry Allen portrayed by Grant Gustin, who becomes the fast – stepping speedster after a horrifying incident at the S.T.A.R Labs where a particle accelerator explodes. Becoming The Flash, barry decides to use his life to fighting crimes and metahuman threats in central city. In his show, he travels in different time, faces evil doppelant of himself and fight in different universes all in post to get justice for his mother’s death while being a forensic scientist as well as being a superhero.

The main themes in the show The Flash include heroism, price one has to pay to become a hero, humanity despite superiority, and power. I mean, the show smoothly combines the adrenaline rush typical for all superhero programs with warming familial feeling and the concept of time-traveling as the mainuess. The show may be comical at times and dramatic at others, making it appealing to all kind os of people.

Grant Gustin is an excellent Barry Allen who gets the combination of scared and brave perfectly. His rapport with the rest of the ensemble including Candice Patton and Danielle Panabaker supports the plot. All the cast members are believable in their characters which makes the actors stand out. As for the actors: Jesse L. Martin completely fills the role of the father and thus gives an emotional foundation to Barry’s evolution, and Carlos Valdes lightens the show with his humor.

The experienced directors of the show’s episodes, Stefan Pleszczynski and Dermott Downs, knew how to properly balance the drama with action. The two continue to revolutionize the genre by presenting the story in an exciting way through the use of flashback and time leap. In terms of themes, they are defining and heroic, parallel to the speed of the Flash existent in the show; this creates an electrifying environment for the high-speed actions.

Bright in terms of visuals, The Flash uses brilliant camera work and color to connect to the vistas of the fiction world. The work of colors, including the practical reference of ‘lightning’ of The Flash, is generally the element adding the dashing effect to captivate the eyes of the viewers. The special effects fit well into the high-speed action scenes of the show.

Some of the brightest examples of the production design include the technological environment of S.T.A.R. Labs and the more dark realm of Central City as seen on the series. All shots enhance the believability and realism of the story.

Special effects are shown here as awesome with the imaginatively employed computer animations to depict Barry’s power of super speed as well as powers of other metahumans. Visually, the show uses special effects to depict time travel and simultaneous existence of parallel universes and subplots while the overall editing is clear and logical, even when dealing with time traveling twist. Switching between the past and the present remains smooth thus sustaining this pace and improving the narration.

The Flash is fast-paced just like the main character but still has moments that enable character development and emotions. This makes it possible achieving a balance which makes the series interesting without being tedious.

The dialogue in The Flash is a mix of humor and seriousness. It adds from witty remarks to very serious dialogue to depict the character’s traits and the essence of the show. Such dialog sustains the audience’s interest in the characters’ developments.

That is why despite the numerous advantages of The Flash show it has the weakness, in particular the problems with narrative consistency, mostly connected with the chronal loops. Certain arcs have a deja vu element to them which can blur the differences between major plot twists. However, drama which the show supplies as its main element often levels this disadvantage.

The Flash is the show which unites actionadventure, drama and sci-fi within one shining example of how heroism and humanity can be shown through the prism of superhero abilities. They manage to make engaging stories and realistic character developments while setting a high bar for superhero shows. Due to the lights moving, emotions coming alive and the humour portraying the emotions so well, the show leaves its audience in a state of joy and happiness.
