’Will Trent’ revolves around the titular special agent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a man who has a complicated background for being raised in the foster care system of Atlanta. Orphaned from birth, his perception of the world has become highly developed and analytical as if he became detective himself with the record level of the successful case clearing in the agency. Will Trent is driven by his personal introduction to loneliness ,isolated from society as he tries to investigate complicated cases in the criminal world of Atlanta.

The show provides strong narrations of resilience and finding purpose in life alongside the themes of childhood trauma. Against the backdrop of Georgia’s capital, Atlanta, ‘Will Trent’ bears the dark, heavy atmosphere typical of many crime stories, while maintaining a fantastic sense of optimism and perseverance. Every episode aims to solve not only the crime but also the psychology of its characters with a specific focus on internal conflicts and fears due to Trent’s foster care background.

Ramón Rodríguez has done a great job diving into Will Trent as a complex character with strengths and weaknesses, who is physically and mentally persevere in his career as a detective. Another performance worthy of attention is the cast, such as Erika Christensen and Iantha Richardson as secondary characters make the viewer get acquainted with other characters in this largeulous story. While every actor has his or her approach to the character, the interaction between them adds a certain complexity that transforms the series from a typical crime procedural.

Sustained by the directors Howard Deutch, Patricia Cardoso, and Holly Dale, ‘Will Trent’ is consistently watchful without feeling:p It has been rightly said that these directors have put together a vision of crime and, at the same time, a realistic depiction of emotions which the title character has to go through.
