Reeta Sanyal is an Investigative dramedy series that is based in circulation law of India. The main character of the story is Advocate Reeta Sanyal and the format of the story deals with the exploits in courtroom as the lawyer goes up against criminals who are as strange as they are frightening. In these conflicts, she has revenge for her father’s death adding to the main motivation of the show. Each of them is revealing another layer of the show’s insight into the criminal world and the process of law enforcement. The balance between these three tones is also quite well done, it alternates tension and drama with action and brain, literally. Adding the light flirtatious humor throughout those significant events the series builds a rather focus-bearing narrative without eclipsing its most essential emotions.

Starring Adah Sharma as Reeta Sanyal strongly, the lady imparts compassionate and power-knowledge character to the show. Sharma playing the role of Reeta has depicted her as a smart and spirited woman making her quite the character. The only other notable characters are played by Manik Papneja, the female lead’s sister-in-law, and Rahul Dev, the female lead’s brother, both of which give good performances as are the other characters in the movie. To elaborate, their casting of numerous characters in the legal and criminal sector forms supporting characters in the series to enrich Sharma’s dynamic lead character which gives the audience a very rich dramatic experience. Ghosh’s direction help to maintain suspense until the end and also accommodate characterisation that brings out the human aspect of the events portrayed. His work is a nice contrast between the hectic disorder of the legal cases and personal drama when Reeta searches for the truth. In addition to the diegetic sound, the music works behind the scenes, creating an optimal effect in terms of drama, being great foreshadowing and perfectly complementing the st, script. Elements of lighting in the courtroom as well as investigative parts of the show relate to its motifs where shadows and light in courtroom scenes adds tension to the overall show, as dynamic camera angles in investigative scenes do as well. The color scheme is rather contemporary and at the same time, it also helps in engaging the audience with the enigmatic themes of the series.

The aspect of production design adds more realism to the show by giving a realistic background to the court scenes and the other places depicted in the series. The contrast of moving from the outside with its rapidly going by cars and people to the dark small law firm offices is well thought out and helps to dimension the story and make it realistic. There are not too many spectacles apparent in Reeta Sanyal, which retain modesty of real life. When used, they are brought in smoothly to enhance the storytelling aspects and do not intrusive in overpowering the actors or the script. These are felt to occasionally enhance the action sequences in the series while not to delve into the human aspect of the story which forms part of the plot.

The series has tried to maintain a good flow by having sharp editing in its sequences to make it easy to follow. Rhythm shifts between the courtroom sequences and thriller elements are natural, and this approach is very fluent that enhances continuity, so the viewers stay hooked till the end of a story. The climax of the spectacular writing, however, is in dialogue which is thorough in character and plot development whilst very engaging. The dialogues have been penned well which constantly keep the tension up if the series high throughout, The only area where Reeta Sanyal seems to falter is at times the episodes may feel rather too heavy on the exposition track. At the same time, it would be desirable to observe that some of the characters are introduced as secondary but would allow for more interesting contribution to the narrative if fully developed. Their absent does not however diminish the enjoyment one accrues when watching this series or the excellent execution of the same.

Watching a show specifically Reeta Sanyal turns out to be quite fascinating. A mix of courtroom drama and thriller concept keep audience hooked easily well. Taking up the main role of Reeta, Adah Sharma made a memorable impression, and the investors have also chosen the right experienced actors and reliable directors. The series shows high aptitude in interlinking the sequences in a manner that is as evocative as it is cerebral, with a heavy impact on the viewers.
