Sally Menke’s editing work is brilliant in transforming apparently unrelated subplots into an interrelated unit. There is never a dull moment, even with the somewhat unorthodox narrative structure.

The desired span of attention is well commanded despite the narrative unorthodoxy of the movie. It oscillates between intense moments of drama and moments of deep storytelling, all the while being interesting.

The scripts dialogues, full of comedy and philosophy is pure Tarantino. Every exchange is designed with care to ensure that it is genuinely unique and easily to remember, or to quote.

By virtue of its thickness, if not always in terms of its symbolism, the narrative process that the film depicts effectively more than it bewilders.
