Unraveling the Enigma: Prime Target
Prime Target is based on a post-graduate mathematics student who stumbles upon a conspiracy to bring down his work on the prime numbers discovery. This pattern if understood and utilized allows potentially, one to get into every computer in this world; much power and danger. As he moves from one lie to another, trust building, and overwhelming odds, the show raises issues of knowledge and the utilization of technology. Characters move in suspense scenes and contemplate in calm and quiet moments, so the mood stays tense throughout the game. Ethical murkiness is at the center of temptation, forcing the audience to think about the ethics of the acquisition of knowledge and its evil uses.
Leo Woodall gives an excellent performance and immortalizes the hero’s internal world and his emotions. Alongside him, there is a stellar supporting cast with Quintessa Swindell and Sidse Babett Knudsen, with every character faring well with detailed performances that add depth to the movie. Crowning a distinctive cast, Stephen Rea lends the film mystery; Brady Hood directs the drama forcefully but intelligently. His eye for detail and his ability to weave the story makes the series interesting and even provoking at times.
