Daredevil: Born Again revolves around the blind lawyer by night and super hero by complicated day Matt Murdock who crosses path with Wilson Fisk who is a former mobster turned politician. Their prior personas emerge, setting up events for an unavoidable conflict while the issues of morality and justice are also raised.

The show also appropriates elements of hope, sin, and the eternal struggle between light and darkness. The show is gritty, intense, and dark, which adheres to the tone that fans like, and seek to answer more profound questions.

Charlie Cox again portrays Matt Murdock at a high level and adds shades of color into the character. What must be said about Vincent D’Onofrio’s fascination with the so-called Kingpin of the Hell’s Kitchen, Wilson Fisk is that the latter is a character who is either astonishingly frightening or undeniably alluring. Jon Bernthal also performs the supporting characters well which makes the story more layered.

This multiverse series directed by Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, and David Boyd rediscovers its narrative with suspense and action. It successfully maintains the audience’s attention, deepening the dramatic and thrilling experience of its characters.

The music in the series once again is appropriately atmospheric, intensifying the dramatic and thrilling experience of the series. It pays homage to the biological roots of the superhero genre while also providing a different feeling to the series.

Once again the cinematologists have done a great job in capturing the rawness of New York. It complements the show wonderfully well while adding to the series’ narrative tension particularly when depicting action sequences. This makes the design to engage the audience into deeper understanding of Daredevil’s world.

The special effects on the other hand do not dominate the entire show. To boost action sequences realistically, they are employed, thus fitting the series’ realism in terms of delivery.

It’s well-edited, detailed and focused, making the viewer want to continue watching the series. It is possible to follow many stories and characters’ arcs at the same time and remain clear on what is happening.

There is a constant focus on action, which is accompanied and supported by character transformation. The story is presented full of twists, there are no breaks to let the audience get bored, everything happens actively.

Looking at the dialogues you immediately see that they correspond to the intensiveness of the action and the subtleties of the characters’ relations. It serves as a tool to unravel complex character motivations and thematic content.

While Daredevil: While some may argue that Born Again tells a well-constructed story, they may also point to the clichéd nature of the line, and the relative lack of new ideas in the plot. However, its execution and character depth largely compensate for this familiarity.

Daredevil: Born Again is a rather unique series, which by paying rightful tribute to an iconic character, sheds light on the human aspect of his demise. It remains captivating through its powerful themes of morality and conflict and elicits the high and the thoughtful emotions which contributes to its standing in the Marvel franchise.
