Special effects, while there are props and effects to some extent, are kept to a minimum appropriate to the film’s situation as a focus on the character interaction and chat gives precedence over spectacle. This helps keep the film’s focus on the emotional authenticity of it.
The editing of this film is easily done, with a constant rhythm that draws the audience in. The way this is paced intentionally allows the viewer to get deeply involved with the characters’ internal and interpersonal journey.|It’s sharp and insightful and much of the film’s humor and drama rests on the dialogue.
