  • 13

Wedding comedy Fussclass Dabhade features the Dabhade family, its various conflicts, and blends humor and emotion as old scores are settled. All the aspects of the family: their love, loyalty, history, bonds—these are all the complex emotional things that make family what makes it funny, and what make it hard, and thats what this story balances so well, trying to tie them together with laughter.

It explores family, familial history, familial loyalty, familial love and reconciliation. A reminder of the unbreakable bonds that bind what we call family. Light-hearted, but emotion charged, it strikes a perfect blend of laugher and melted family ties.

Rajasi Bhave, Siddharth Chandekar and Kshitee Jog come with the authentic performances of a very intricate characters. It is delightful, the cast instantly feels believable because of there chemistry and on screen relationships are believable and moving, a touch of charismticity added is Amey Wagh who is integral to the cast, Hemant Dhome directs well and his guiding hand keeps the film moving between humor and drama fluiently. Fortunately, his guidance makes sure each scene adds meaningfully to the streamlining plot, keeping the emotional core without sacrificing entertainment, and the musical score perfectly fits in with it, enriching the subject with emotions and oversaturation. It creates a melodic score that is as comforting as it is moody; the lighter as well as the darker scenes.

Cinematography whoways the joy of a traditional baggage Indian wedding with bright colors to portray the feeling of festive and fussy. The frames feel painstaking and its cultural and familial threads are all emphasised throughout the creation of each frame.|The production design works to recreate a grand wedding on Indian terms with costumes, décor and setting that all feature attention to detail while recreating the family heart of a celebration.|The use of special effects is straight, albeit subtly, and helps spotlight rather than hurt the narrative. The editing doesn’t steal the film’s authenticity, but reinforces key moments without overbearing on the real depth and weightness of the film.|The editing supports a coherent and interesting narrative loop, mixing between drama, comedy, and tension. Most of the time, this aids in keeping the film moving, almost all the moments before them hitting feel grounded and present the audience with many engaging moments. It takes you from more comic to more emotional bits without dragging, and the dialogue is sharp and entirely believable as the way a family would converse.

Character development and film’s emotional impact are indeed contributed largely by conversations, which play out naturally on screen.

Overall Fussclass Dabhade is a well crafted movie but some characters fall short in terms of development of their backstory. It could have been deeper had a sharper focus on these existed. The mission of the film is executed almost flawlessly — the emotion and fun are delivered like it’s nothing.

Fussclass Dabhade brought me happiness—it’s family love and nostalgia and warms you up and replete. It is more than a drama. It is a statement about the importance and the complexity of familial ties. For the culture and emotion lovers, this film is a must watch.
