Frank’s portrayal by Guillaume Canet is good; he manages to capture the tension as well as uneasiness of Franck Lazareff, a man on a mission, a man ready to do anything to protect his family Stéphane Caillard also provide shades to the story as the kidnapped wife, Leo , despite not being in most of the film. Supporting characters Zita Hanrot and Johan Heldenbergh satisfy the expectations of their roles and provide the energy to the plot and believable emotions to the events happening on screen.|Ad Vitam by Rodolphe Lauga is rapidly progressing as a show filled with action and a remarkable narrative. Lauga’s direction to make sure that the pacing never slows down keeps the mood tense and exciting. He perfectly sews together numerous plot lines, focusing on the stakes and staking out adrenaline-pumping scenes, while also providing a major measure of character depth.

The movie music underlines its thrilling and suspenseful scenario, never overwhelming the conversations and actions but always steadily reminding about the presence of suspense. The score and sound design of the film brilliantly progress the plot, intensify experience of the events unfolding on screen and emotions of the characters.

The cinematography of Ad Vitam is rather successful and excites the viewer representing thrilling story and deep changes in the feelings and emotions of characters. Along with the main storyline, cinematography reminds fans of The Vanishing series with brilliant shots of landscapes and inspiring close-ups that attract people to heed Franck’s dangerous search. It manages to faithfully reflect the film’s layered themes while simultaneously incorporating realism with mystery that the narrative offers.

Still, Ad Vitam is successful in most aspects, yet, it has some moments which seem to be overly cliched and typical for thrillers, which may disappoint some of the audience. But what would be a long 50 minutes filled with heavy acting, a weak script, and a confusing plot for the viewers? Nonetheless, we have to admit that character-building in Ad Vitam is profound and much emotional knocking is done by the leading actors. Great focus is placed on the problems associated with the sacrifice of a person and his past; the audience thinks about the shades between the call of duty and the pursuit of passion when the movie is over.
