It excellently capitalizes on properties of the Minecraft world, namely creativity and crafting, which are well loved by the game’s target demographic. It is not just the fun-packed, united team whose key assets are working together and persistency as well as appreciating one’s imagination to turn the world into a cartoon; it just has a very warm and caring family vibe.

Certainly, the cast is great, and it is worth mentioning Jason Momoa and Jack Black who voiced their characters very engaging and funny. This is all further enhanced by the performances of such actors and voice talents as Jennifer Coolidge, Emma Myers, and Kate McKinnon; each of the cast members brings the quirkiness needed for the world that is portrayed in the movie and also invests their characters with sincere and realistic emotions to make audiences believe in this allegorical and dreamlike journey. Hess gave life to Cyclops as the full animated aspect of the Minecraft world which makes the movie interesting and meaningful as there is a good flow of adventures present in the movie.

Speaking of soundtracks, they are fun and energetic during most of the scenes while more intense during critical parts of the movie. It increases the feeling of the high risk associated with the desired goal that carries the name of this place and plunges the viewers into the world of the legendary eight-bit sounds. From the vast cubic terrains to quiet forests, the scenery is a joy for the eyes of both a representative of the gaming world and a movie viewer. Many aspects of color and scale work to heighten the surrealist effect of being within the Minecraft world.

Special attention must be paid to how well the production crew emulated Minecraft and all of its blocks and occupants. In relation to the plant life, the movie remains loyal to the game while opening itself up to creativity of a film adaptation set.

Moving from the creepers to the towering mountains, special effects achieve the look of Minecraft using CGI. Even the facial expressions of the characters to the smooth flow of the car chases, all seem like directly borrowed from game and will definitely be much appreciated by the fans.

The fitting and proper cutting of the story, paying attention to the rhythm of the movie and breaking of scenes, the interweaving of action and comedy. It also helps in maintaining the playful direction of the film getting apace with adventurous aspects of the movie. There is more of self-analysis and playful comedy combined with some thrilling scenes that makes the movie enjoyable. On the one hand, ‘A Minecraft Movie’ effectively incorporates in itself the references typical for the Minecraft community, on the other, sometimes there is an impression that the film too broadly tries to appeal to both – gamers and ‘civilians’. Sometimes, it could have done that more extensively and enrich the overall storytelling using the lore of Minecraft even further. It successfully arise through the dangers of adapting video games to film, presenting a plot that will appeal to admirer of Minecraft, as well as inviting the spectators catapult themselves into the magnificent world of the game. A truly block-buster experience!
