In ‘The Last of Us,’ ‘the apocalypse happens due to a pandemic across the USA and worldwide. The plot revolves around Joel, a survivor, who has to transport a teenage girl, Ellie, through a dangerous territory that has been cordoned off due to a contagious disease. Their trip becomes one epic story of survival as Ellie can be the cure for the human race.

The series is directed by Mark Mylod, Neil Druckmann, and Peter Hoar who direct the adaption true to the video game with high levels of detail. Their vision enables them to create harmonious integration of action, drama and horror to the film.

Music being one of the most emotionally sensitive elements intensifies the field of despair and hope altogether of the series. Its tunes stay with one after the movie has concluded and remains a copyright.

‘The doomed fight for survival gets an impressive visualization where the landscapes exemplify the ruthlessness of nature impressively contrasted with people’s spirit.’

‘‘The care they put into design the this production is incredibly well done, so that the audience finds itself transported to a believable, anarchic wasteland.’’

The performance of the special effects is perfect with regard to the designs and creation of zombie characters figures to the quality and effectiveness of performing action scenes which involves the use of enhanced sensations.

Some movements appear to be fine tuned, providing clean transitions, and making sure that each sequence adds to the story arc rather than a long segment of straight filler.

‘The staggering of events is perfect with wide opportunities for spectacular action and character growth and all important for avid audience.’

‘Dialogues are well composed with much attention paid to the power relationships between characters and preliminary understanding of their problems and goals are presented’.

‘The Last of Us’ excels in many of the aspects that define the survivor horror genre but sometimes it becomes very close to typical cliches of zombie apocalypse dramas when it comes to some of the storylines. But on this count it maintains one’s indulgence in check, and therefore is just a minor quibble.

This television series [‘The Last of Us’] made a lasting watermark by the outstanding story experiences and living characters portrayals. It touched me on the emotional level because it stirred the fear, emotions of compassion and inspiration among the impossibility. An impeccable adaptation.
