A Deep Dive into the World of 'Doctors'
In the series ‘Doctors’ people get familiar with the show discussing the professional life of doctors, competition and politics involved in the workplace and a doctors’ personal lives. It continues where Dr. Nitiya Vasu, a new resident with her own grudges against her former teacher Dr. Ishaan Ahuja. In the series’ development, discoveries of different things happen, and power of choice is portrayed as Dr. Nitiya struggles with her reasons of working and personal intricacies.
In ‘Doctors,’ there are stigma of doing the wrong thing but searching for a way to do right thing, chances of change, and consequences of actions within the human social relations context of the medical practice. It has a dramatic outlook and a high degree of tension while at the same time containing elements of warmth when characters share themselves.
The series showcases a stellar cast, which includes Abhishekh Khan and Vansh Sethii, along with the other actors. All the actors give subtext to the character and give a feeling of an actual working hospital environment where emotions run high.
Sahir Raza effectively adds suspense and drama to the series while asking deep questions at the same time. He adds depth to the development of each of the characters perfectly.
The musical accompaniment matches the overall mood of the series rather well. It pays attention to key events, contributing to the overall atmosphere without submerging viewers in darkness.
The shooting highlights how the hospital looks and sounds during the course of events. Whether it is a suspenseful surgery episode or moments of reflection – the visuals work in benefit of the show.
Sometimes it is enough to suspend belief for the sake of the brilliant set design that captured the medical environment impeccably.
It is not in excess in general, yet used effectively at moments when medical scenes require the extra boost in realism.
Never choppy while at the same time not sluggish – the pace of the editing helps keep the Finally, transitions from one scene to another are clean which is helpful in showing the connection from one episode of the series to another.
There are appropriate and balanced proportions of personal and practice-related conflict in ‘Doctors’ to the lapses of which the program is otherwise not exception. Every episode has a cliff hanger that keeps the audience coming for more of the show.
The script has good dialogue, realistic of the medical profession and intrapersonal issues. It adds shades of personality to the interactions between characters, which helps to give an idea of what is driving them.
The show is highly commendable in many aspects and yet at times it felt more like relying of cliches that many medical dramas go for. Some of the stories may appear quite cliché to any veteran of the show.
