The South Korean TV series ‘All of Us Are Dead’ is all about a group of students, trapped inside their high school when a viral breakout turns those infected into bloodthirsty zombies. While that takes place, other characters will have to face the new horrifying reality of the school in order to remain alive.

The themes of the series include coming of age, friendship, and of course, survival in the context of zombie apocalypse. This is rather unusual for zombie media and places sharp contrast between childhood and horror. The mood is rather dramatic and can switch from sad to hopeful in the blink of an eye.

Park Ji-hu and Yoon Chan-young do a great job as students who were forced to grow up in the face of adversity. All of the actors contribute individual layers to their performances to explain how fear and tension create and destroy relationships.

The direction of Kim Nam-Soo and J.Q. Lee is tight, and the show’s build-up of tension is very well done. The directors show a very good sense of dramatic-action, as well as the siege and the claustrophobia of a school setting.

The musical score adds to the series’ tension so the suspense in the series is well executed. Musicg well enhances scenes providing the thrills in emotion While horror element is well enhanced, suspense too is well enhanced.

The cinematography of the movie depicts the real picture of chair and situates the feeling of suffocation in a school which is under attack. Intense and speedy camera movements and lightings give feeling of concern and spoil, fledged up with character establish arduous close up shots.

Production forefront shifts the high school environment to a battle ground. Otherwise, classrooms, hallways, and a gym more become a field of battle, excellently to emphasize the events of the shown nightmare.

The special effects of the film look impressing: makeup and CGI of zombies look authentic and let the feel the reality of the shown terror. Their conception is creative and somewhat shocking.

The editing is effective to sustain the rhythm, bear action sequences and develop the plot at the same time. Episodes are closely connected so that there is no time for boredom, spectators are introduced to new thrilling scenes and dramatic episodes. Thus, viewers remain engaged, switching between action and deep breaths with the characters while catching glimpses of their childhood dreams in the show’s darkness. the dialogue in ‘All of Us Are Dead’ is profound and conveys what specifically needs to be said to the audience, the main characters are students who are stranded in an apocalyptic situation. The talks are rather truthful and dramatic, which makes the audience get closer to the characters’ suffering.

Clearly, watched the series has shades in most aspects, though the forecast occurrence may slightly weaken the surprise element. However, some of the episodes that are set seem a bit inadequate in developing sub-plots. However, they are minor compared to the overall thrill of the story.

‘All of us are dead!’ Is a horror piece that takes its audience through a rollercoaster of horror and themes such as bravery, and friendship. It is unique in its context and within the genre itself, and changes the possibility of what zombie series can offer beyond just thrills and chills, but a telling narrative about the human experience.
