Jigra is the sequel to ‘Satya,’ which focuses on the story of Satya, played by Alia Bhatt, who has bew taking up a risky task of rescuing her brother Ankur who is wrongfully imprisoned in a fictional country to have strict legal procedures. The continuity of the plot in the story arises in the high risk sequences including daring jailbreak moments grasped the audience showing the unrelenting spirit of Satya ready to cross all barriers to protect her dear ones.

Integration of concept: family loyalty, justice and ethical conflicts of lawlessness when the law cannot secure the innocent. In a territorial indian context that depicts dreadful judicial systems and social crucelties, ‘Jigra’ juxtaposes high-impact, power packed action scenes with high-pitch sequence that touches emotional chord. Besides, the tense-suspenseful shade is contrasted with occasional warmth, which emphasizes the everyday people behind the organizational screw-ups.

Star Alia Bhatt does a splendid job in portraying Satya as a woman in love and desperation. Vivek Gomber as this trendy looking lover boy Ankur who has been raped and is now forced to fight the system all alone with no support from his family or friends. The actors that support the film are Sikandar Kher and Vedang Raina, the latter of whom brings depth to the main plot, each character creating the oppressive atmosphere that encroaches on the heroes of Jigra.

In his turn, Vasan Bala took a lot of risks in the film, but along with this, his understanding of the plot of Jigra is trenchant. Bala ensures that the various scenes of action, and movement involved in a film are seized well, and that there are some emotions involved in every incident to make the film an interesting and thoughtful spectacle.

The music of Jigra fits in the film properly and adds an emotional touch to scenes which are critical in the film. The score sets the nerves high in some action scenes whilst providing touching melodies in dichotomy to the more character-focused scenes.

The visuals in Jigra are brilliant; the shooting contrasts the beautiful and peaceful countryside of the fictitious country with the dark walls of the prison. This brings in the element of art into the show and even though very subtle, the elements tell the story of freedom and captivity in a dual way.

The setting done accurately presents the legal and social system in the country of fiction on which Satya was based on, presenting the oppression the character has to go through. The theme of cinematography is closely related to set design, as it also creates an environment that seems incredibly real.

Special effects are employed in a rather minimalistic manner in Jigra, yet, they added much to the feeling of realism. Here the jailbreak scenes are aided with great effect that intensify the picture without overpowering the more realistic drama.

The Indian version Jigra also has concise editing that determine the pacing of the picture and provide the viewer with quite an interesting ride. Several plot sequences are nicely juxtaposed to increase tension, while at the same time the tempo of Jigra does not decrease during character or background development episodes. This rhythm helps the film dig into its themes while having the main character engage the audience with thrilling stunts.

Jigra has rather intense dialogues to portray the feelings and the situation of the characters. The script is fast-paced and effectively uses short dialogues alongside the few monologues; the cast can give even more of their characters’ personalities.

Jigra has an excellent narrative tension and characters but the plot’s cliches, such as the jailbreak, can be seen by some of the audience as predictable. However, the film assumes a ambitious structure that makes it somewhat difficult to develop certain subplots. Stellar performances especially of Alia Bhatt and the way Vasan Bala has handled the movie makes it an interesting watch and stays with you for long. It is one best assassination site that explores justice and family issues which have a deep impact in one’s life.
