The Christmas Chronicles - Movie Review

The Christmas Chronicles revolves around two children Kate and Teddy Pierce who accidentally fell foul with St Nick when they crashed his sleigh and decided to help him retrieve the reindeer. They start shooting a plan to capture Santa on camera, but their mission later becomes a crazy chase all around Chicago to retrieve lost reindeer, magic hat and gifts. You can see the primary plot related to The Christmas Chronicles as carrying the messages of family and faith, as well as the spirit of repentance and change during the holiday. The mood of the film is sentimental also comical at certain scenes and the action scenes are very thrilling. It also teaches people to have faith in magic, believing in oneself, and having the support of your family in tackling hardships.

Kurt Russell as a Santa Claus is cute, engaging and an unusual choice to portray the beloved character. Adding his layer to the film, it is impossible not to note that a rather rough breath of the actor combined with the gentle, serial killer Santa suit makes him different from other cinema santas. Kate and Teddy are played by young Talented actors Darby Camp and Judah Lewis, who does a great job playing the smart siblings who want to save the holiday, Clays Kaytis finally does an awesome job in directing the movie because the entire movie is balanced in comedy, adventure and fantasy aspect reflecting the essence of the holiday season. Combining an endearing and amusing plot, Kaytis makes sure to incorporate a similar message into the story, making the plot cheerful and with an emotional layer.

Such as the presence of music throughout the making of the movie with some of the musical emphases in the plot making the movie magical. Introducing new songs and including some of the old ones contributes to making the movie emotional and fully embracing festive feelings .

The Christmas Chronicles looks very beautiful and it is filmed in Chicago – the cold winter landscapes look organic and well-photographed. The movements used also support magical feel of the movie in a way that enhances festival mood.

The whole scenery and most of the settings include the best and most impressive of the holiday period. Not a single setting, from the sleigh to the North Pole, is uninspiring, as even cinematography ensures that the film really does feel like a Christmas one.

Arthur assures that the implementation of special effects in The Christmas Chronicles really adds a certain adventurous touch, especially in considering such aspects as CGI, employed for depicting Santa’s sleigh and other rather magical scenes. The usage of special effects in conjunction with live-taped scenes contributes to the adventurous tone of the picture.

The work of the montage is fast and energetic but does not sacrifice the comprehensibility of the further action during the shooting of a chase. There is good flow between the emotional and nearly silent scenes and high-octane sequences, making narrative flow to be quite good. This engages the audiences continuously while not straying too far with the feel of Christmas.

The dialog in The Christmas Chronicles is also humorous and full of good advice from Santa as well as the playful humor between character.
